What's it all about?

Deadline extended!! Applications are now being taken for the Programme for Women in Yorkshire and Humberside. There are 35 places available, those interested have until Friday 11th July to apply.

The Flying Start Programme for Women is the first programme of its kind specifically for final year students and graduates who are planning to start a business based in the Yorkshire and Humberside region. The programme is free will help participants to start their business within 12 months and kicks off with a 3 day residential at the 5 star Aston Hotel in Sheffield (http://www.tomahawkhotels.co.uk/home.aspx?h=1) with food and accommodation included.

The Programme is also open to those who have been trading for less than 12 months and it will aim to help participants grow your business. The programme is free for final year university students and recent graduates (of up to 5 years) from any degree at any level, and any age (full-time or part-time). All types of businesses are eligible.
The programme includes:

A 3 day residential course at the ‘5’ Star Aston Hotel (http://www.tomahawkhotels.co.uk/home.aspx?h=1) with food and accommodation at this luxury venue included for free. At the residential you will learn the key business skills and build your network
An experienced mentor who will support and help you for 12 months
Focused follow up meetings where you receive further help you need to get you trading

There are 35 places available, deadline for applications is Monday 30th June but places will be offered before this date to any application that meets the required standard and therefore we expect the places to be filled before this date, so get your application in as soon as possible.
